Easypack® Packmaster™ Pro
The most advanced on-demand paper packaging system available today. The Packmaster Pro delivers a range of lightweight, robust paper cushions and coils that are easily moulded around any product delivering maximum protection.
Top features include 100% FSC-certified recycled content, widely recyclable through local curbside programs, and biodegrades under appropriate conditions, in line with ISO 14021 standards.
Easypack® Packmaster™ Pro Fanfold
Make changing rolls of paper a thing of the past and choose fanfold paper (i.e. continuous feed or tractor feed paper) on pallets for the Pregis Packmaster™ Pro fanfold paper system. The bundles are interlinked so you can have up to 4,690 metres of paper running on the machine without having to change rolls of paper.
Thanks to the Packmaster™ Pro’s smart and compact design, a fanfold paper euro pallet fits exactly under the mobile machine. This means that the pallet does not take up extra space.
Easypack® Quantum™ XTW
This versatile paper void-fill system was created for high volume operations yet is compact enough to support decentralised pack stations. Available in both pull-from-the-middle rolls and fanfold options, its’ magazine holds up to 6 bundles of fanfold paper, creating over 14 cubic metres of consistent void-fill packaging, so packers can spend their time…packing.
Patented bladeless tear-assist allows operators to tear paper effortlessly.
MINI PAK’R® V3
The MINI PAK’R V3 air cushion inflation machine is designed to provide on-demand protective packaging to areas where space is important, a welcome addition to warehouses and distribution centres with multiple packing tables. Improving Throughput & Productivity.
The problem
An end-user was facing challenges in the following key areas:
- Packing efficiency: Existing systems could not keep up with high-volume demand, especially during peak periods.
- Pack station ergonomics: Workstations were cluttered and inefficient, impacting packer productivity and comfort.
- Optimal protection of packaged parts: Ensuring consistent protection across various product types and sizes was proving difficult.
Our approach
To address these challenges, Pregis implemented an integrated paper packaging solution, designed to deliver both efficiency and sustainability:
- Custom ducting system delivering paper pads on demand to 18 pack stations.
- Installation of 2x EasyPack® Packmaster Fanfold machines, connected to 5 paper bins, supplying all stations.
- Use of Pregis 70-GSM 1-PLY fanfold paper, made from 100% recycled, recyclable, and biodegradable material, ensuring environmental responsibility while protecting goods during transit.
- The system reduces energy consumption, improves safety, and enhances ergonomics at each workstation.
Result
- Customised pad lengths: Each Packmaster produces paper pads in varying lengths tailored to the items being packed, ensuring optimal protection for all shipments.
- Increased productivity: Significant improvement in order throughput, particularly during peak periods.
